.NAME Domain Names

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain name extension is the only one planned for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are popular by. At first, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to book john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed 3rd-level domains remained working.

Through our firm, you can order your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to switch the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific terms on who can obtain a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The dot NAME universal top-level domain is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the right spelling in your native language.
